Icy Light

The stars are stripped naked
Burning on winter’s pyre
Icy light
Dancing illusions
Scenes from within the prism
Distant heat
Chilled in its closeness

The stars stare
While generations rise and fall
In a heartbeat
Each life
All its dreams
A cold and distant spark
The shimmer
In a single crystal of ice

  1. the light frights when it last only a night
making lips tight pressed in a line
no words can warm, nor darkness can suppress
the final glow of stars that shines
    since beginning of time

  2. Hi David,

I wanted to drop you a line to say thank you for all of your support re: my blog. Its been great to have a regular reader who offered hits, likes and comments, you were one of the few who stuck with me for many years and I wanted you to know that I appreciate it very much indeed. I am going to be taking a break from my blog for a while and it may die the death as a result which of course would be a shame personally for me but sometimes life gets in the way and family is more important and things are hectic at the moment. I can’t concentrate on keeping the ‘character’ of Bilstonjay going. I will still be updating the Bilston FC history as and when I get time now I’m the clubs official historian and archivist. Again that is another job that has taken up time that blogging once did.

I just wanted you to know I haven’t forgotten your support and again I truly did appreciate it. Keep following Wolves and Bilston, if you ever need to contact me you can through the bilston town history site.

Take care mate, speak again soon,

    • You’re very welcome, Jay. I’ve enjoyed reading what you’ve had to say over the years. I certainly understand how life can take precedence over a blog. I’ll continue to follow the Bilston Town blog, and I’m sure I’ll see you around on Twitter.
All the best to you, mate.
