The door is kept shut
Locked
The key hidden safely
Under time’s fallen leaves
It only opens briefly
Flickering moments
Like a deep breath reminder
That life exists outside
Inside
Dreams fill the air
A perfume rich and heady
But still
Only dreams
Vapors of the mind
A fantasy
Of imaginary existence
And if dreams became reality
Would I still dream of them?
Or push them away
As if they were something
Fun to think about
But not what I wanted
Not really
Only a veil
Woven of daydreams
For NaPoWriMo 2013 day 2 and dVerse Open Link Night #90.
nothing like those per fumy dreams
Where is the Food when mother is not?
i think it might be rather scary if all our dreams came true you know…what then would we dream….nice image in that veil in the end as well…
Thanks, Brian.
Dreams are the gateway to answers in our daily lives. Some will come true some will not..some are just lofty thoughts..nice write..
Thank you. Like the Rolling Stones said: “You can’t always get what you want..”, and sometimes that turns out to be a good thing in the end. Thanks for stopping by! 🙂
love the line …a key hidden safely under times fallen leaves…no stopping time and no going back.
Thank you very much! 🙂
