Gifts

Humans have a gift
For being incredibly
Blind to their own gifts

I scribbled this down a few nights ago.  It was just a random insight that happened to come out in Haiku form. I’m posting it for the prompt about presents/presence/gifts from Manicddaily on dVerse, even though it’s not really the same meaning of the word “gifts” that they’re talking about over there.

  1. ah, that matters little…there is a lot of truth in this…i think often we dont pay attention to how we are gifted…you see this in people at work in particular in jobs that are not suited to them but if they had it they would do great…and def in other arenas of life as well…

  2. I have been recently thinking the same.. I wrote a few poems about gifts we have, one that I particularly love, … poetry is truly a gift because it is something we give to ourselves deeply and gives pleasure also to others. 🙂

    • Thanks, Holly. I thought about expanding it into a longer piece, but it really said all it needed in three lines I think.

  3. ..unfortunately that’s a sad, sad truth… and though we’re given the awareness of such… still, i didn’t do anything ’bout it.. excellent..

Merry Christmas to you and family…

    smiles…
